Isabelle Engeli is Associate Professor (Reader) at the University of Bath. She was previously Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at University of Ottawa and Max Weber Fellow at the EUI. Her current research specializes on gendering policy attention and implementation across Western Europe and human biotechnology regulatory regimes. She is Founding Editor of the European Journal of Politics and Gender (with Petra Ahrens, Karen Celis, Sarah Childs, Elizabeth Evans, and Liza Mügge) and Lead Editor of Political Studies Review (with David Cutts) and the Editor of the Routledge Gender and Comparative Politics Series (with Karen Celis). Isabelle’s work appears notably in the European Journal of Political Research, West European Politics, Journal of European Public Policy, Regulation & Governance, Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis, and the Revue Française de Science Politique. Isabelle is the co-recipient the 2012 APSA Best Comparative Policy Paper Award and the 2011 Carrie Chapman Catt Prize. She served as the founding Chair of the Council for European Studies Research Network on Gender and Sexuality Studies (David Paternotte).
